Blackened Salmon & Lemon Dill Yogurt

  • 12-oz. salmon fillet
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon chili pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon herbed salt
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh dill
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • ⅓ cup Chobani 0% Nonfat Greek Yogurt
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Remove skin from salmon, if desired.
  3. Combine dry seasonings and rub onto one side salmon fillet.
  4. Heat olive oil in nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  5. Place salmon, seasoned side down, into oil and sear for 90 seconds.
  6. Flip salmon gently and sear on other side for 90 seconds.
  7. Remove salmon from skillet, place on baking sheet and bake for 4 minutes.
  8. Prepare dip ingredients: Chop dill into fine pieces and zest lemon peel.
  9. Whisk together yogurt, dill, lemon zest, salt and pepper to create dip.
